I’ve spent nearly 20 years helping businesses work better.

Most of that time was in management consulting, including more than a decade at Deloitte and time as a Partner at PwC. I’ve worked with organizations large and small, across industries, and around the world. And while every business is different, I’ve learned that the hardest problems are rarely as simple as they first appear.

​

A process problem might really be a leadership problem. A technology problem might be about how people work. And sometimes the person running the business simply needs someone outside of it to ask a good question, challenge an assumption, or help think through what comes next.

​

That’s the idea behind SRO Advisors.

​

Today, I work with leaders of growing and mid-sized businesses in a few different ways: Sometimes I work with them to tackle a specific challenge or make a meaningful change in the business. Sometimes I help a leadership team get on the same page. And I bring business leaders together to learn from one another, work through the things keeping them up at night, and become better leaders of the businesses they’ve built.

The diagnosis may be complex. The solution rarely is.

​

Experience has taught me to look beneath the obvious problem and understand how the pieces fit together. The best answer doesn’t usually sit neatly in one function, process, or system. I look for the root of what’s getting in the way, consider how a change in one place will affect another, and then figure out what to do about it. I don't believe in making things more complicated than they need to be.

​

I earned my BA in Psychology from Texas A&M and my MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. That combination still makes a surprising amount of sense to me—I’ve always been equally interested in how businesses work and why people do what they do.

​

And yes—SRO is a nod to my love of Broadway. In theater, “standing room only” means the house is full and the energy is high. I liked the idea of bringing some of that energy into the work I do.

I’m a Texas Panhandle native and Houstonian, with a career that has taken me all over the world. I’m endlessly curious about businesses, people, and what makes both of them work.
